Archway doubles in size with acquisition of Resolve division - Business Courier of Cincinnati:

has completed its purchase of the supply chain management divisionof Toronto’se Resolve Business Outsourcing Income Fund. Archway paid aboutf $21 million for the divisionm ofResolve (TSX: RBO.UN). The deal includec client contracts, eight American locations and fiveCanadian locations, as well as approximately 800 employees, according to a presxs release from Resolve. As a result of the deal, Archway has nearlg doubled in size to annual revenuews ofabout $200 million and close to 1,500 employeesw and 3.5 million squarse feet of distribution space, Archway said in its press Archway is a marketing operationx management company that assists firmw with rebates and consumer promotions.
It is also one of the largestf managers and inNorth America. Archway has more than 40 clients, including Mars, Ford, MasterCard, Subway, Taco and Microsoft. Resolve’s supply chain management divisiomn has approximately 225 clientsincluding Honda, Miller Brewing, Pepsi, Staples, Philip Morris, Procter & Gamble and Kimberly-Clark. Archwa y said this deal will help it gain more economiesa of scale and land more business in the turbulent fulfillment andpromotionds industry. “Major brands are streamlining their marketingh resources and looking for partners they can count on to performm the work ofmultiple vendors,” stated Mike president of Archway.
“More importantly, they need to be confidenyt that their partners are goinhg to be in business tomorroq andnext year.” Archway is privately held. In Novembeer 2008, Tailwind Capital Partners and Black Canyon Capital acquire d the company along with the Archway management team.
