Executive Beechcraft, an aviation salex and service company basedx atKansas City's Charles B. Wheele Downtown Airport, can install Garmin's G1000 all-glass avionic panel on Beechcraft King Air C90 series Executive Beechcraft said in areleasre Monday. The upgrade costs $325,000. The nation'ss first retrofit installation of the panel was on an aircraftf owned and operated byMichael McGraw, foundef and CEO of Overland Park-basex software provider "This is the culminatiojn of a two-year effort," Executive Beechcraft President Scotr Tychsen said in the "We've worked closely with Garmin to bring the G1000 to markey for the King Air C90, and we are very proud of our partnershilp in making this remarkable avionics systemj available to King Air owners and operators.
" The G1000 avionicd panel replaces older cockpit instruments, integrating all primary navigation, communication, terrain, traffic, weather and engine instrumentation on high-definitionb LCDs. The panel is availablw as a factory item on some new planes but only as a retrofit on the King Air C90 therelease said. Executive Beechcraft will retrofit a second plan this week and has others scheduled at its Kansas Cityand St. Louids locations.
